Expert is president of a consulting firm. She is a seasoned executive with an MBA, 25 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Project Management and ERP Systems Consulting. Prior to BSC, she was a Senior Director at SAP, the Supply Chain Practice Leader at KPMG Peat Marwick and at Answerthink, and a Regional Manager at Hewlett-Packard.

Ms. Expert has consulted with global and domestic clients, VCs and PE firms on systems and processes. She has considerable international experience and has worked for extended periods in Asia and Europe. Her experience spans a broad range of industries including High Technology, Software, Chemicals, Health Care, Consumer Products, Industrial Products, Food Distribution, Transportation, Publishing, Retail, Oil and Gas.

She has extensive knowledge and experience in manufacturing and outsourcing in China and in global procurement and field service. She has authored 3 books: 42 Rules for Sourcing and Manufacturing in China, as Amazon.com Top Seller book; 42 Rules for Superior Field Service; and Negotiation Blueprinting for Buyers.

Ms. Expert is a Licensed Unites States Customs Broker.

Re-engineered procurement processes and assisted in finding and securing a machining vendor near Shanghai, China for a medical device manufacturer. Reduced the overall cost to produce by nearly 80%, while maintaining the same or better quality results. Facilitated the import/export processes, development of contracts and service level agreements. Conceptualized, planned and re-engineered Supply Chain operations and a $76 billion Asian manufacturer of consumer electronics, computers, and telecommunications equipment. Identified functions included in the new Import and Export vision and mapped requirements to SAP models, then prototyped the new models. Bench-marked industry leaders for process comparison in global trade and systems linkages to distribution. This project was conducted in Seoul, Korea. Sold and delivered a $49.4 million systems redesign and application integration project to a major air freight company. Applications included: custom-developed web-native Order Management system, i2 Demand Planning, i2 Capacity Planning, Descartes, WebMethods EAI, and interface design to legacy systems and Oracle Financials. Maintained Executive relationships throughout the project.Assisted in selling and delivering Business Consulting for a $700 million global roll-out of SAP, for one of the world’s largest oil and gas companies. This project addressed core requirements for 120 countries on 5 continents, with a regional template for SAP deployment. Worked with both the business and the technology teams to design an appropriate roll-out profile, solution architecture, and implementation approach.
