Expert has been trained at the Equitas (Montreal) International Human Rights Training Program, studied child rights programs in the EU and UK as a Whiting Foundation Fellow, was a fellow studying extremism and terrorism through a fellowship at the Dodd Human Rights Center at the University of Connecticut, and was a National Institute of Mental Health Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in community and family violence.
She is a specialist in homeless children and families. She works with courts in NH and MA as a Guardian ad Litem and Mediator and was a member of the NH Juvenile Parole Board for a decade. She has been on other boards, such as the National Coalition for the Homeless, and is on the Human Rights Council for the American Association for the Advancement of Science in Washington, as well as the Steering Committee of Human Rights Educators USA. She is also a consultant with the American Sociological Association and works with departments around the country doing assessment, reviews, evaluations, strategic planning, and mediation. Expert works with governments, NGOs, and nonprofit organizations to develop programs, research, and partnerships.
