His experience also includes direct chlorination and oxy-hydrochlorination and cracking (ethylene dichloride and vinyl chloride), sulfonation, and nitration of hydrocarbons. In addition, he is experienced with the preparation of catalysts for various process and recycling of spent catalyst.
Expert's background in cogeneration includes the integration of power and steam generation facility with the grassroot chlor-alkali, petrochemicals, and industrial complex.
Expert's expertise includes the selection of materials of construction (such as metallurgical and plastic materials) for inorganic, organic (hydrocarbons), oil and gas, petroleum refining, and highly corrosive services.
Expert's expertise as a Registered Environmental Engineer includes the handling and processing of hazardous waste, chemicals, solvents, and hydrocarbons. He has extensive experience in environmental control technologies and systems engineering, chemical treatment, oxidation and thermal treatment, thermal incineration, and catalytic incineration.
He is also experienced in bioremediation, vapor extraction, soil washing, solidification/stabilization of contaminants, hazardous waste media, and sludges. He has experience with environmental control and hazardous waste minimization projects related to refineries, petrochemicals, chemicals, and industrial high-tech electronics facilities to meet both EPA and state regulations.
Expert is experienced with the technology, system design, handling, and processing of extremely dangerous and lethal chemicals such as Sarin (GB), Soman, Lenisite, Tabon, Vx, mustard gas, phosgene, hydrogen cyanide, chlorine, sulfur dioxide, sulfur trioxide, and others. He has studied technologies to convert these chemicals into useful products such as herbicides, specialty chemicals, oil field gelly agents, corrosion inhibitors, fertilizers, sulfonated and chlorinated chemicals, metal cleaners, and sandstone acidizing agents.
Because of his extensive knowledge of the industry, Expert has consulted for financial institutions regarding major transactions in the petrochemical, chlor-alkali (caustic and chlorine), chemicals, and related areas.
