Expert W. Expert has been involved as consultant and technical expert in numerous cases involving patent infringement. An example is the landmark case between Dow Chemical and Allied-Signal on thin-film membranes for water treating. This resulted in a $30 million settlement for Allied-Signal. Other cases completed or active involve petrochemical processes, separation technology, catalysis, specialty chemical, polymeric resins, and specialty chemicals. Expert has been involved in preparing Markman hearings and affidavits/testimony concerning the interpretation of patent claims. He is also the author of seven U.S. patents.

Expert is an active consultant and expert witness in both patents and trade secrets. He has been the technical consultant on several cases involving the alleged theft of trade secrets related to petrochemical technology. He has experience in working with attorneys to define valid trade secret information. He is the author of seven U.S. patents and was a scientist/engineer at the Corporate Research Laboratories of Exxon and Honeywell, where the generation of intellectual property--both patents and trade secrets--were the major activities.

Expert was involved in the design of novel processes at Corporate Research for Exxon and Honeywell. He has designed processes for acid gas purification, tar sands extraction, glucose purification, removal of fatty acids via supercritical extraction, and others. He also has taught process design at University of Illinois since 1992 and also done extensive consulting with chemical companies and national laboratories in the area of process design. He is the author of seven U.S. patents on novel process concepts.

Expert is very familiar with the chemical process industry, having worked at Corporate Research for both Exxon and Honeywell. In addition, he has consulted with numerous chemical companies since the founding of EWF Consulting, Inc. in 1992. He has also been involved in patent infringement and trade secret issues involving companies in the chemical process industries.

Expert has experience in the area of intellectual property, which includes both patents and trade secrets. He worked at Corporate Research of Exxon and Honeywell and is the author of seven U.S. patents and has directed research groups where the principal goal was the generation of intellectual property. As a consultant, he has served as consultant and expert witness for cases involving patent infringement and trade secret issues.

Expert has a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from University of California Berkeley and has worked as a scientist/manager in both Exxon and Honeywell. Since 1992, he teaches chemical process design at University of Illinois. He is the author of six U.S. patents and over 60 publications in the field of chemical engineering.

Expert has a Ph. D in chemical engineering and has worked on developed of new chemical processes and optimization of existing ones for over 20 years. These include processes for heavy oils, shale, and tar sands. It also includes special processes for gas purification and the development of the new ozone-friendly refrigerants such as 134a. Expert has taught chemical processes at University of Illinois since 1992 and consults with various chemical companies on development of new processes.

Expert is experienced in the modeling of chemical processes using Chem CADS, and Hysis. He has worked on the modeling of chemical processes at corporate labs of Exxon and Honeywell. He has published numerous papers on both the computer and analytical modeling of processes. He has taught chemical process modeling at University of Illinois since 1992.

Expert has a Ph.D. in chemical engineering and worked on chemical processing at Exxon and Honeywell. Projects included better processes to purify natural gas, synthesis of new specialty compounds and polymer resins, fabrication of new films and membranes, recovery of oil from tar sands, and processes to produce novel adsorbents and catalysts. Expert teaches chemical processing at University of Illinois since 1992 and is an active consultant to companies involved in both small- and large-scale chemical processing.

Expert worked with a major waste handling company on the development of a new technology for the recycling of aqueous cleaners.He designed and managed the construction of a commercial unit for the production of high-purity nitrogen from air. Expert worked with an international law firm on defining issues involving trade secrets.He gave depositions in law cases involving chemical engineering technology. Expert provided technical support in several cases involving potential patent infringement.
