Organizations face the challenge of maintaining congruence among organizational functions, technology, strategy and organizational culture and processes. Expert’s work in this area has involved helping organizations and individuals to: better problem-solve, seek out and capture opportunities, and increase their abilities to learn from their own processes and from the marketplace.
Offshoring and increasing demands for a global presence have led many of the companies with which Expert has consulted to consider how they might best apply motivational approaches to create a true people-centered workplace. He has helped numerous organizations in a wide variety of industries re-design work practices to help organizations increase employee responsibility and decision-making, and increase perceived control among employees. Careful application of well-researched motivational approaches have led Expert’s clients to increased productivity and individual initiative and decreased absenteeism, turnover, and counter-productive behavior. In addition, an increasing emphasis on project-based work and global and remote teaming has created special motivational challenges in many organizations.
