condition. He is capable of optimizing the various unit operations of a chemical manufacturing facility.

Expert notes that chemical plant design require special skills which he possesses through his Masters degree in Process Engineering and Design
from a reputed institution. He can design various pieces of plant equipment and prepare a tender document for floating inquiries.

Expert notes that crushers are mainly used in cement and mineral processing industries as primary size reduction equipment. He has adequate experience in the cement industry to suggest any modification required in improving the operational performance of the grinding units.

Expert states that energy is the most important area in industry. The primary task is to reduce the energy consumption and improve the productivity without sacrificing quality. He is a qualified Energy Auditor (he passed the four papers in the second National level Certification examination on Energy Auditor conducted by BEE, Government of India) to analyze and suggest suitable remedies in the area of energy conservation.

Expert has experience in development of application software for cement raw mix design and optimization, and simulation of grinding systems such as ball mills and roller mills. He has experience in handling chemical engineering software like ASPEN Plus/ChemCAD. He is also experienced in using software such as AUTOCAD and MATLAB. He can develop simulation software for the design/operation of various types of equipment.

Expert has experience in cement chemistry and technology and cement raw mix design. He has 12 years of experience in research and development, industrial consultancy, and teaching in the area of cement and building materials in one of the leading organizations in India.

Expert notes that the cement rotary kiln is the heart of the cement industry, and that operation of the same is a great task. He has experience in the development of a kiln control system with fuzzy logic, and he can contribute in process optimization. He has expertise in design and commissioning of vertical shaft kiln technology for a mini cement plant with capacity ranging from 30-100 tons per day.

Expert has experience in optimizing other process equipment like ball mills in addition to the rotary kiln. He has experience in the development of an operational computer simulator for ball mill grinding systems.

Expert notes that the cement industry is a potential source of pollution with pollutants like CO2, NOx, SO2, CO, and particulate matter. Equipment such as cyclone separators, bag filters, wet scrubbers, and electrostatic precipitators are employed in cement plants to control the pollution. He has the experience in process engineering design/sizing of such equipment.

Expert notes that oil well cement is used for special applications, particularly in the drilling process. It has a different potential phase composition and the raw mix design has to be taken care to produce such cement. With the available tools Expert can design a mix for oil well cement.

Expert notes that rotary driers are used to dry the cement raw materials with the help of hot flue gases liberated from the process. He has expertise in design of rotary dryers.
