The majority of Expert’s clinical work involves interpretation of chest and cardiac imaging, including chest radiography, chest computed tomography (CT), cardiac CT (including coronary artery CT angiograms, calcium score CTs, and exams for transcatheter valve replacement), chest MRI, and cardiac MRI. She also performs image-guided lung biopsies for diagnosis of abnormalities within the thorax.
Expert enjoys public speaking, lecturing, writing, teaching, and resident education. Expert was invited to be on the national American College of Radiology Expert Panel for Thoracic Imaging Appropriateness Criteria which creates the guidelines on which imaging is considered appropriate/inappropriate. She is the founder and chair of the (undisclosed) Radiology Group. She won the Radiology Teacher of the Year Award given by the OHSU radiology residents for her knowledge, clear communication, and teaching skills in radiology. Expert is a highly organized, meticulous, and is unique in her knowledge/training in both radiology and pulmonary/critical, something that is limited to a handful of physicians in the entire country.
