CHIRAL SEPARATION. In the area of chiral separations, Expert has developed many separations to detect the trace undesirable enantiomer. Expert is an instructor for the American Chemical Society short course "Practical Capillary Electrophoresis" and the author of the text with the same title. In addition, Expert has written a book on troubleshooting electrophoretic methods, has numerous publications in he field, and writes a monthly column that appears in American Laboratory.
Expert offers his clients contract research and method development using modern instrumentation equipped with photodiode array detection. He has worked in the areas of oligonucleotides, pharmaceuticals, chiral recognition, pesticides, herbicides, small ions, and carbohydrates in a variety of sample matrices. The development of precise quantitative methods is one of Expert's specialties.
Expert served as an expert witness surrounding DNA sequencing patent litigation.
