Expert has nearly 45 years of experience in the building materials industry, with the bulk of that experience in the Custom Architectural Veneer and Plywood industry. He has assisted in the development of sales and marketing and implemented the execution in a team environment created by Deming Management Principles. He has pursued cutting edge, custom designed veneer lamination opportunities and profile wrapped material while assisting with product development for clients in R&D stages of products. Expert has experience with in-house and outsourced lab testing to determine cause and effect of various types of product failures with both interior and exterior products. His reporting methods emphasized to create a successful laminated product for a win/win.

He is well versed in species, matches, log mapping, spec capture and design constraints with wood veneers along with grading, and selection, and he's familiar with AWI and HPVA standards. He's assisted many architects for specification work and design for new construction as well as clarification and solutions for work to recover from damage from natural catastrophes, like Hurricane Katrina and Ike. He's worked on Hotels, Hospitals, Universities, Stadiums, Airports, Municipalities, etc. Store fixtures were once a huge portion of the client base, but with big box retail shrinking from online purchases, that has diminished, with wood costs prohibiting affordability.

Expert served 15+ years on the Board of Directors of the Texas Architectural Woodwork Institute and was a member of the national org for many years. He has a vast network of peers from the wholesale supply and woodworking manufacturers in multiple states and regions across the country.
