Expert Details
Air Quality Engineering, Aerosols
ID: 108266
Illinois, USA
Expert's areas of research include aerosol chemistry and physics. He has developed aerosol sampling and instrumentation. He has conducted research and published on laboratory and ambient aerosols in areas such as measurement, monitoring, detection, and characterization. Recently, he performed measurements of aerosol optical properties in marine air.
Expert is familiar the physical and chemical properties of ambient aerosol chemistry including the ubiquitous nature of ambient metastable aerosol. He studied the properties of ambient aerosol particle chemistry at a mid-latitude northern hemispheric site as it relates to global climates. Additionally, he has measured aerosol particle sizes as well as the crystallization humidities of ambient aerosols.
Expert's experience with stationary sources includes flue gas treatment and desulfurization, sulfur dioxide controls, and nitrogen oxide controls. He has evaluated the simultaneous removal of SO(2) and NO from simulated flue gas streams via combined plasma photolysis.
