Expert has two design patents one each for space transportation and space propulsion. As a professor, Expert has been teaching courses on Aircraft Design, Spacecraft Design, Space Mission Design, Gas Turbines, Space Propulsion, Powerplant Engineering, etc. Additionally, he has also worked as Senior Research Scholar at Spacecraft and Missile Dynamics Lab of Beihang University (BUAA) during his Ph.D. program and on Hypersonic Airbreathing Propulsion during MS program. Expert is a prolific author in Space Systems and has more than 45 international peer-reviewed research publications on Space Missions, Space Constellations, Satellite and Space Launch System Designs. In Aeronautics, he has been leader of Aerospace industry projects at Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) Kamra as Deputy Chief of Manufacturing Technology and as Senior Aircraft Design Engineer. With several years experience of manufacturing Light Utility Aircraft and of working in China, Saudi Arabia (Middle East) and Sweden (European Union) on Aircraft Design projects. Additionally, he has eight years of Aircraft and Gas Turbine Maintenance experience.
Expert's core research areas are space launch vehicles, missile design, small satellite design, satellite constellation, space propulsion, gas turbine engines, aerospace propulsion, powerplant design and aerothermal simulations. In teaching assignments, expert has taught courses on astrodynamics, advance orbital mechanics, launch vehicle and ballistic missile design, satellite design, gas turbine engines, turbomachinery design, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), aerodynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer etc. Expert is a higher education commission's approved PhD supervisor. Expert is the recipient of industrial research grants for several industry-academia collaborative projects on students' micro satellite design, rocket-ramjet integrated engine design, rocket-based combined cycle engines, space situational awareness, satellite tracking, space research lab, aerothermal design of electronics, reentry vehicle for nanosatellites, stage separation mechanism design.
