Expert is a practicing physician-scientist and an academician with a robust, proven track record of managing the most complicated cases in medical dermatology requiring treatment of patients with a variety of topical and systemic medications (including, without limitation, corticosteroids, immunosuppressors, biologics, intravenous immunoglobulin, etc.). Expert has a unique expertise in treating patients with life-threatening allergic and autoimmune diseases of the skin and oral mucosa. He has developed several international treatment guidelines, such as for patients with pemphigus and pemphigoid. Additionally, his specific experience encompasses wound healing. Expert also has long-term experience in the basic and clinical research of wide variety of immune-dependent skin diseases. He has been a Principal Investigator on several research grants from NIH and other granting agencies. The above expertise is attested by his nearly 300 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, as well as over 170 abstracts of meeting presentations worldwide.

Expert is currently a tenured Full Professor of Dermatology and Biochemistry and a member of the Institute for Immunology and the Cancer Center & Research Institute. Furthermore, Expert is a Diplomate of American Board of Dermatology, a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a standing member of several national and international professional societies. I have multiple professional awards and honors, including honorary society memberships and the "best of" clinician's awards, such as "Best Doctors in America," "America's Most Honored Professionals," etc.
