Served as consulting engineer to client on new concentrated solar plant in Israel. Initial task was to determine cause and make remediation recommendations for auxiliary boiler steam drum that was unable to pass hydro-static pressure test. Tasks were expanded to determine root cause and corrective actions on boiler deflagration event and Superheater overheating. The last task was to determine cause of boiler's inability to make required NOx limit and make recommendations on modifications. At this time a Flue Gas Recirculation system is being fabricated for installation. |
