Expert is fellowship trained in Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery and provides comprehensive care for patients with urinary incontinence & overactive bladder including management of urinary urgency, urinary frequency, nocturia, and urgency urinary incontinence and stress urinary incontinence. Treatments range from conservative management, pelvic floor physical therapy, medication management, and procedural/surgical interventions. These include peripheral tibial nerve stimulation, sacral neurmodulation, intravesical onabotulinum toxin A injection for urgency urinary incontinence and bulking agent injection and sling procedures with native tissue or synthetic options for stress urinary incontinence. She also has expertise in the management if neurogenic bladder due to diseases such as multiple sclerosis, parkinsons disease, spinal cord injury and diabetic cystopathy. For neurogenic bladder Expert offers treatment for bladder management including intravesical onabotulinum toxin A injections, suprapubic urinary catheter placement, clean intermittent catheterization, urinary diversion such as ileal conduit. She offers robotic urinary diversion surgery as a minimally invasive option for patients. Expert is an expert in pelvic organ prolapse and offers compassionate care for women struggling with symptomatic prolapse from anterior (cystocele/bladder prolapse), apical (enterocele/uterine or small bowel prolapse), and posterior (rectocele or rectal prolapse) prolapse. Treatment ranges from observation, pelvic floor physical therapy, pessary placement to surgical options via a vaginal or abdominal approach. Expert is also an expert in robotic sacrocolpopexy for multi-compartment prolapse. Expert has published over 20 peer-reviewed articles in the biomedical literature and has ongoing research in this expertise area. Expert is a urologist who specializes in benign urologic care for men and women, including reconstructive surgical options such as urethral stricture repair with urethroplasty, artificial urinary sphincter for male urinary incontinence, inflatable penile prosthesis for erectile dysfunction and management of benign prostatic hypertrophy with transurethral resection of the prostate.
