Expert has worked for the past several years on developments in pressure transducer applications such as air data system measurement, jet engine thrust measurement, barometric measurement, and digitally communicating transducers. He worked on rugged, accurate pitot/static measurement transducers using new vibrating silicon technology. This technology has applications in barometry, transfer standard, and laboratory measurements.
Expert has worked with Boeing to define the needs for a new generation of air data test systems (ADTS) for use in functional testing of Boeing 777 and other aircraft. He recommended architecture and feature set for equipment development.
Expert has developed highly accurate pressure transducers that can be used in engine-mounted or other adverse conditions. He is familiar with serial communication using ARINC 429/629 protocols.
Expert defined system architecture and feature set for a new air data test system. The system uses computer-based human interface and real-time data acquisition and control sub-systems to measure and control air craft air data systems for functional test procedures compliant with military and commercial aviation requirements.
Expert has experience negotiating licensing of technology. He has set up a structure for R&D funding and option to license subsequent patents or proprietary technology. He organized and presented arguments for royalty rates, up-front fees and contingent liabilities.
He is up to date in the state of the art designs and developments of smart targetable adaptive array antenna systems for use in commercial wireless LAN/MAN broadband systems. Particular emphasis on the leveraging of IC and newly inexpensive planar aray antennas and signal procesing combined with OFDM and other advanced modulation schemes. He has unique insight into how to formulate competitive product mix to gain distinct market advantages in the fast paced field of WLAN/WMAN.
Array
Expert performed a “from-the-ground-up” analysis of patent and technology development in the field of broadband wireless data communications related to WLAN and WMAN/WWAN (ie. 8802.11, 802.16) and related technologies, including wireless mesh and grid topology networking, smart-targetable array antenna systems and subsystems, and advanced signal processing. He has also studied current developments in the field of IC technologies and processes that impact the development of the emerging WBB industry. He has used this technical understanding and his unique perspective as an independent consultant as a foundation for consulting on development of WBB products for WMAN and extended WLAN and HotSpot systems. Recent consulting work has been performed for Alvarion, the leader in wireless broadband access systems and SpanWorks, a spinoff of Toshiba Corporation that is engaged in collaboration software and seamless communications between WLAN, WMAN, PDAs, and cell phones.
