Request Expert
Expert has over 30 years experience in incineration technology specializing in the design, evaluation, construction, operation and permitting of incineration systems for industrial installations, site remediation, resource recovery facilities, hospitals and wastewater treatment plants. Expert also has experience with troubleshooting, operator training and expert witness services related to waste incinerators. Author of an incineration handbook, he has written eleven other authoritative texts that are widely used by the waste treatment and disposal community. He presents seminars throughout the country and overseas on incineration systems applications and systems design and has written extensively on this subject for professional and trade publications. Expert has also developed specialty computer programs for the analysis of thermal disposal systems.
His activities in the area of medical waste incineration include the preparation of a new textbook and the design and evaluation of incinerators both in the U.S. and overseas. Expert has also worked on numerous projects for municipal solid waste incineration.
Expert has been responsible for the execution of a number of hazardous waste incineration projects, including the use of incineration for the clean-up of contaminated sites.
He is very familiar with rotary kiln, liquid waste, waste sludge, and site clean-up incineration systems, as well as incinerations in industrial settings, in Europe and at sea. He has designed over 30 sludge incinerators, prepared operator training programs, performed troubleshooting for numerous operating sludge incinerators to reduce fuel cost and optimize performance, and provided incinerator permitting assistance. Additionally, Expert has worked on projects that have included consulting for the USEPA, plasma arc evaluation for waste disposal, boiler failure evaluation, carbon regeneration furnace troubleshooting, assistance to PIRGs in New York and New Jersey, evaluation of incineration as a waste disposal option for various industrial clients, and many other studies of thermal disposal for waste treatment and destruction.
Expert has designed a rotary kiln incineration system for oil-field wastes. He has been engaged in the development and design of a number of other waste systems, including a medical waste incineration system for medical waste, animal carcasses and bedding; a multiple hearth incineration system for the disposal of wastewater treatment plant sludge; and a hazardous waste fluid bed incineration system. On the latter design, Expert also provided operator training for the client, a chemical manufacturer.
