Since joining SPE has had experience of organising different nationalities for conferences, events, seminars . Local negotiations with local governments, associations and various trade bodies. Have grown business for past employer in the various regions by large percentage increases. currently increasing activities for SPE in Turkey, United Arab Emirates, India and Eastern Europe.
He has been responsible for sales, marketing and services for Europe. India and Middle East since 1991. Have therefore organized conferences, exhibitions, sales promotions, agent appointments in all regions. Sales have increased by large amounts in the regions.
Since joining SPE have been closely involved in setting up of the legal entity SPE Europe and the marketing of that, via associations with large trade organizations. Currently working on the Asia Pacific region in conjunction with people from USA, India and Australia.
Have set up various bodies such as the European Thermoforming division, SPE Europe and the latest which will be TAP (Thermoforming Asia Pacific).
In his role with Brown Machine, he was responsible for setting up agents in all the countries and regions he was responsible for and agreed contracts with all the accepted agents and suppliers.
Since 1991 he has worked not only for one of the major thermoforming machinery manufacturers in the world but has need to work with other companies who offered ancillary equipment for the processing of plastics, both extrusion and waste product. This has given him a wide knowledge of the industry equipment.
He is currently Senior Vice President of SPE, last year he was Treasurer and Vice President. Formally Chair of SPE Europe and before that Chair of SPE European Thermoforming division.
He is due to stand for election for President of SPE in October of 20XX.
The society has 20,000 members and is a global organization.
Since 1991 he has been involved in the thermoforming machinery market and from the early 1980's had been supplying materials to the industry. This has meant a 30+ year experience in the industry for both thin sheet packaging to thick sheet forming. He was the first person to introduce twin sheet rotary thermoforming to the European, Middle East and Indian markets and the machinery supplied and companies who purchased are still very strongly involved in that section of the market.
Set up manufacturing plant to produce plastic glasses and other plastic utensils Purchased on behalf of owner all equipment valued at around US$3 million dollars, Overseen installation of all ancillary equipment to supply electricity air and pressurized water to the plant. Commissioned production in both the thermoforming halls as well as the injection moulding hall. Oversaw the start up and full production before handing over responsibility of manufacturing companyAdvised and developed companies expansion into European market with advise and guidance on local companies expertise and capabilities.Developed a companies strategy in regard to acquiring a local company in need of resource backing. Arranged for current management to continue in new company to help facilitate the growth of the company.Arranged for European company to become partner with USA company to develop new product range and to help arrange sales and marketing opportunities for both companies.Set up a joint venture in India between a French manufacturing company and an Indian company
