He has developed and implemented AQL criteria for precision mechanincal components in a high volume Far East manufacturing environment as part of the overall quality management plan deployment. This work was performed in the disk drive and precision motor industries and can be allpied to all mechanical manufacturing and assembly environments.

Expert has been in charge of new screw machining process development and has deployed several new processes to volume production with quality control systems in place and highly emphasized. These processes have been producing multi-million units per quarter and achieved outstanding quality results using QPM, Six Sigma, and SPC.

He has been the leader and innovator in the Six Sigma and Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) methodologies, where capability analysis is a key factor. Expert had done capability studied on machined components, assemblies, plastic molded parts, stamped parts, coatings, and complex assembly processes.

Expert has designed many successful products that have gone into high volume production and acheived market leadership. He specializes in the design of ultraprecision mechanical components and the application of statistical methods to the design process.

He has implemented Design for Manufacturability into product designs and teaches the subject at the university as an upper division/graduate level course in mechanical engineering.

Functional test system qualification including Gage R&R, process capability, setting specification limits, and setting control limits for a wireless lighting control device.Mold tolerance characterization, tool qualification plan, process capability, and process improvement actions for injection molded electronic enclosures.His consulting experience has included DFM studies on several products, including mechanical, electronic and plastic injection molded parts.
