Expert E. Expert, M.D. is regarded as an expert in the medical treatment of metabolic disease with special expertise in the medical management of Obesity. He has more than 25 years experience treating Obesity and its associated co-morbidities including Hypertension, Diabetes, Dyslipidemias, Arthralgia, Liver Metabolism as well as various aspects of shock, neurologic head trauma and general emergency medicine, etc.

After graduating from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara Medical School located in Guadalajara, Mexico, Expert served a Rotating Sub-Internship at The Peninsula General Hospital Center - University of the State of New York Medical School at Stoney Brook continuing with advanced residency training in General and Trauma Surgery at both UMDNJ Rutgers Medical School at Camden, New Jersey and NYU Medical Center at Booth Memorial Hospital Center, NYC, NY. He served as instructor in Advanced Surgical Trauma and Life Support as well as Surgical Consultant in Shock / Trauma at the Booth Memorial Medical Center Clinical Campus for New York University Medical Center.

Expert has served two terms as Chairman of the Medical Ethics and Grievance Committee of the Medical Association of Atlanta and currently serves as a case reviewer for the Georgia Composite State Board of Medical Examiners. He served two terms as Chairman of the Medical Association of Georgia Committee on Prison Healthcare, a committee on which he served for over twenty years. Board Certified by the American Board of Bariatric Medicine, Expert has served as Secretary Treasurer of the board’s sister organization the American Society of Bariatric Physicians; he has also served on the American Society of Bariatric Physicians Board of Trusties and chaired its Ways and Means Committee.

Bariatric Medicine is the recognized medical specialty treating Obesity, Eating Disorders and related metabolic disease. Expert has been in the private practice since 1984. Expert serves as a medical consultant and has attended on the medical staffs of several major Atlanta Hospitals. He frequently lectures at the metropolitan Atlanta medical schools, Morehouse and Emory and routinely lectures nationally on Bariatric Medicine and Bariatric Practice. Expert serves as a medical consultant to all of the major Atlanta television networks WXIA, WGCL, WGNX as well as CNN.
