Expert is board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology. After recieving his MD, he trained in Israel for four years including as a Medical Officer in the military before moving to New York to complete his resident training in medicine in 1971. After completing his clinical fellowship in Rheumatology in 1973 at Downstate Medical Center, he has been working as a Clincal Assistant Professor of medicine at several medical schools as well as an Attending medical staff at several hospitals in New York for the past 40 years.

As a rheumatologist, Expert is a specialist in diagnosing and treating patients with diseases of the joints, muscles and connective tissues such as gout, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, polymyalgia rheumatica and ankylosing spondylitis. Expert is focused on providing mostly non-surgical treament of diseases and works with patients who have unexplained conditions such as weakness, fever, fatigue and weightloss in relationship to their rheumatic symptoms and conditions.

Expert is also a national speaker on rheumatic diseases and has published numerous articles and original work in peer reviewed journals.
