Through the number of projects that she has undertaken, Expert has built expertise in finite element modeling, using a number of commercially-available packages (ANSYS, ABAQUS, COSMOS, COMSOL), and developing experimental protocols to validate finite element models. She has made extensive use of Materialise, a medical imaging package, to create accurate 3D models of bones and soft tissues from radiological images. These 3D models are exported to finite element packages for analysis and interpretation of results. This involves a deep understanding of (1) the property, structure and mechanics of bone, cartilage, tendon and ligament; (2) expert skills in computer-aided-design (CAD) applications; (3) the extensive application of boundary and loading conditions; (4) a deep understanding of deformation analysis, elastic property and modulus, material science, material fatigue testing, mechanical stress and strain, non linear finite element modeling, stress modeling and analysis, structural analysis for the correct interpretation of results.
Being bilingual (French and English), and having over 15 years of experience in teaching Maths, Engineering and Engineering Management, Expert is well-suited to provide e-learning and education services online. Her MBA qualification will allow her to extend her services to management-oriented services.
