Expert is a supramolecular chemist with an interest in chemical sensor and biomedical sensor design. He has experience in DNA sensing, in particular fluorescent sensors for single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) and DNA base modifications (e.g. epigenetic changes). He also has an interest in electrochemical sensors, either for DNA or for small molecules and ions. Chiral electrochemical sensor development, for screening enantiomeric excess, is an area of current interest within his research group.
