Expert is both an academic and an experienced practicing lawyer. In the latter capacity she has been most active in the areas of corporate and commercial law. She has played an important role in the setting up of varied operations on behalf of domestic and foreign clients, and in the drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts, with an emphasis on insurance. She provides ongoing legal advice in all areas of insurance and reinsurance, insurance mediation and pension funds. She has drafted legislation in the field of insurance law in the capacity of advisor of the Portuguese Government. As a law professor, she has taught different courses and published extensively in a wide range of topics within private law, both in English and in Portuguese. Fluent in English, her in-depth knowledge of English law and proceedings, acquired whilst reading for a masters degree at Oxford University, make her an ideal candidate for an expert witness in Portuguese law before the English Courts.



Now a senior associate with her law firm’s corporate and commercial practice group, she has played an important role in the setting up of varied operations on behalf of domestic and foreign clients and she provides ongoing legal advice in all areas of corporate and commercial law. She focuses on the drafting and negotiation commercial contracts, with an emphasis on insurance.
