He participated and managed projects including the design, manufacture, marketing, selling, and application of products such as globe, rotary, ball, high pressure ant-cav, noise abatement, solids handling and severe service type valve designs. The majority of these designs were applied in refineries, petrochemical plants, coal liquefaction plants, coal gasification plants, power plants and chemical plants. During this time he has acquired a thorough working knowledge of plant process operations in the areas of Hydrocracking, Hydrotreating, Fluid Catalytic Cracking, Delayed Coking, Coal Gasification, Coal Liquefaction, Ammonia & Urea Plants, and Fossil Fuel Power Plants (Sub-Critical & Supercritical). Expert's time spent as a control systems engineer at Jacobs Engineering in Houston, Texas has made him proficient in the design and implementation of PLCs and DCS systems in process plant control operations. 50% of his career has been spent traveling outside the United States troubleshooting existing customer operations to determine the best fit for purpose solution to problematic process control problems and emergency shutdown systems. He has worked with clientele to develop large multi-national greenfield plant projects.
