This design work leverages her earlier invention of a new way of learning on the Web that integrates online business simulations with multi-tiered mentoring and collaboration.
She has written for the Los Angeles Times, Newsweek and The Economist and she became an internationally published author which, in turn, led to her being a producer and director with the BBC and International Video Network.
Expert received her Graduate Diploma in International & Comparative Politics from The London School of Economics and her BA from the University of Southern California. An early student of the San Francisco State Multimedia Studies program, she later became certified by the eLearning Guild as a mobile learning application developer.
Expert's senior year thesis at USC was a visual ethnography of the Grand Central Public Market in downtown Los Angeles. This required two years of ethnographic research.
Since 2000, she has designed, developed and implemented multimedia-based eLearning programs that involved instructional design, computer-based training, courseware, media production, multimedia communication planning and multimedia display. These technologies and approaches were applied to the creation of programs focused on employee training, corporate training, executive coaching, human resources, leadership, leadership development, leadership training, and management training.
Some of the content areas of her programs include: managing change, conflict resolution, emotional intelligence, and personality-type indicator outcomes that calibrate personalized learning programs. These include the MBTI, DISC and The Enneagram. Her work has also included sales training and executive education. Her expertise includes online learning and development as well as Instructor-led Training (ILT). She has facilitated workshops as well as trained trainers to deliver her programs around the globe. Her programs have consistently received standing ovations.
As Chief Learning Officer of Vistage International, she created 200 programs for 15,000 chief executives, their 650 coaches and 130 staff. Her work earned her Training Magazine’s Top 125 Winner award for achieving global excellence in corporate-sponsored education. As a consultant for Asset Management, she designed a program in leadership development that aligned leadership competencies with the wisdom of Renaissance masters. Her work is highly creative, powerful and delivers high Return on Investment (ROI) Results: attendees increased their books of business by 235%; corporate growth rate increased by 300%.
