, USA
Expert was the Head of the R&D department for a Telecommunications company in the middle east. He was also the SME on Microwave Design, Planning, and Optimization. He conducted several on-site projects at various Telecom Operators' sites. Moreover, he created a Microwave Backhaul planning tool from scratch to meet the demand of Telecom operators. He even included his own Frequency planning algorithms. He is an expert in link budget analysis, interference calculations, polarity check, transmit power optimization, antenna height optimization, and much more.
He is currently involved in designing and implementing PHY and MAC on several wireless technologies in relation to the military. He has developed extensive knowledge in the IEEE 802.11 a/b/g standards during his Ph.D. studies. Research wise, his work was focused on load balancing and channel assignment in WLANs (PHY layer). He has developed his own power management, load distribution, and channel assignment algorithms using the MATLAB tool (PHY layer). He applied his algorithms on a dynamic model that runs continuously over the simulation period to provide the optimal user to Access Point (AP) association, the optimal channel assignment, and the final transmit power at each congested AP. MATLAB (software tool), OPNET (network simulation tool, MAC layer), and Wireless InSite (Indoor/outdoor propagation tool, PHY) were used in his research to verify and test the applicability of his algorithms. Also, published works related to Ad Hoc Networks and Sensor Networks.
He gained great experience in IEEE 802.16 protocol when he was assigned to lead an Alltel project deploying WiMax and WiMesh Motorola equipment (Customer Premises Equipment) on the school campus. The project briefly consisted of two phases. In phase one, he was responsible for a group of 10 students to carry out some experiments for the Wi-Mesh trial (WiFi Trial, IEEE 802.11). He also participated in designing the test plan with engineers from both Alltel and Motorola. Various tests were carried on by the students that tested several applications with different user mobility scenarios and other important factors. At the end of each week, he was responsible for presenting a report of results and analysis of the network behavior to Alltel and Motorola engineers. Similarly, phase two was conducted with the same attitude by conducting tests on different network infrastructures, WiMax, IEEE 802.16. Same procedures were followed while taking into consideration the difference between the two technologies. Tests were carried on a daily basis. He was responsible for gathering, organizing, supervising, troubleshooting and maintaining good Quality of Service over the network. At the end of each phase, a presentation report he submitted to Alltel for further evaluation. During each phase, some simulations were run for what-if scenarios and compared to the raw data at hand for validation purposes.
He is proficient in the internet, wireless internet, and wireless internet protocols. He has research experience in that domain since his MS degree in Telecommunications through designing several Local Area Networks and Wireless LANs for small business.
He applied his wireless communications knowledge to provide technical assistance on an in-door Bluetooth networking project. He worked with software engineers to execute and meet application platform requirements. The project is still in the implementation phase and to be deployed in the market soon.
Plan, design, and optimize RF Microwave Backhaul networks for various operators’ networks using PQM Tool (Developed by BluNexus). Researching and developing the new 802.11ac and preparing for its implementation into the tool. Engaging in technical debates with current and prospective customers about enhancing and developing the current tool. He worked on a litigation/infringement detection issue in the cellular network. He designed a Wireless In-Flight System that does not infringe on current art. He provided technical assistance on an in-door Bluetooth networking project. He worked with software engineers to execute and meet application platform requirements.
