Expert is an active hospital epidemiologist working to prevent infections in the hospital setting. He is well versed in childhood vaccination, the principles of vaccines and how to improve vaccinations as well as assessing adult immunization. He is familiar with lyme disease and various other diseases caused by ticks. He has attended lectures and is knowledgeable about new diagnostic tests for hepatitis C as well as the new antibiotics and infectious disease updates in the medical field.
As a board certified Infectious Disease specialist, Expert is active in diagnosing and treating infections in hospital and office settings. Tropical medicine is an area of special interest, including preparing persons for travel and treating problems when they return. Expert teaches medicine in the university setting in the US, and travels regularly to Africa to lecture on Infectious Disease.
As an infectious disease expert, Expert has been the director of the Infectious Disease Unit at his affiliated hospital since 1992. He is familiar with tuberculosis and HIV infection and infectious disease morbidity and mortality. He is educated on wound care and wound care infections. He is always conscious of ways towards better infection control inside and outside of a clinic. He is currently analyzing clinical, research, epidemiologic and other healthcare problems using an exploratory data analysis device. He continues to promote efforts in advancing physicians and healthcare workers of hospital associated infections through various analysis and data reports.
He is currently assisting a research project investigating vaccines and antivirals, including vaccines for smallpox, influenza, RSV, pertussis and pneumococcal disease in order to evaluate the epidemiology and immunopathogenesis of infectious diseases in humans.
