Expert MD is a physician specializing in the evaluation and treatment of patients who have developed injuries or illness as a result of chemical, physical or biological agents.

She is Board Certified in:

Toxicology – through the American Board of Toxicology (DABT) and by the American Board of Medical Toxicology.

Preventive Medicine (with subspecialty certification in both Medical and Environmental Toxicology and Occupational Medicine through the American Board of Preventive Medicine).

Pathology (with subspecialty certification in both Anatomic and Clinical Pathology through the American Board of Pathology)

She provides clinical evaluations and treatment, including epidemiology and site assessments, of individual patients and populations with suspected illness secondary to workplace or environmental chemical or biological exposures.

She also provides consulting services for industry, unions, government, legal groups and attorneys and public interest groups.

Permitting issues, Risk Communication at Public Hearings and Regulatory Review,
Development of Medical Monitoring Programs, Compliance with Monitoring Programs
Forensic consultations, Site visits, Literature reviews, Scientific Presentations, Medical examinations, Medical Reports.

Her areas of expertise include Medical Toxicology, Environmental Toxicology, Clinical Pharmacology and Forensic Toxicology.

Expert has been in private practice for over 25 years after receiving training at Jefferson Medical College, Stanford, Yale, Johns Hopkins, University of California San Francisco, the California Poison Control Center and the National Institute of Health. She has consulted for OSHA, EPA, the California Poison Control Center, NIOSH and the American Industrial Hygiene Association, among others. She is the author of 20 peer reviewed publications and book chapters.

She has been doing consulting work for the past 25 years for industry, unions, public interest organizations, government and academia. Her areas of particular interest include the mining, oil and gas sectors, including hard rock, coal and uranium mining. She is experienced with the permitting process, specializing in environmental risk communication and occupational/environmental hazards such as exposure to mercury, arsenic, lead, cyanide, carbon monoxide, diesel exhaust, chromium, and benzene.

She has also been providing forensic consultations for attorneys for the past 25 years, testifying in criminal and civil cases. During this time she has given over 200 depositions and appeared in at least 22 trials in courts all over the United States. She testifies for both the State and Defendant in criminal matters and Plaintiff and Defense in civil matters.

Technical review of Third National Review of Human Exposure to Environmental Chemicals. Developed anti-aging skin care line combining cutting age technology with botanical extracts.Evaluated the cause of occupational disease and groups of workers exposed to occupational chemical exposures.Evaluated the cause of cancer, renal failure, cardiac disease, leukemia and other medical illness in several hundred people relative to exposure or ingestion of pharmaceuticals or toxic chemicals.Evaluated the association between ingestion of illicit drugs or alcohol and impairment.
