Expert was the Principal Engineer for Intel's Data Center Group for 12 years. Although his work location was in the Seattle area, he worked with team members in Israel, India, Ireland, Poland, Russia, and all over the United States.

Expert worked as a Platform Architect for servers and workstation in Intel's server group from 1997 til 2004. Expert managed application engineering for Network Products group for Cirrus logic from 1993 til 1997.

He is a well-known expert on technologies for Cloud Computing, High-Performance Computing (HPC) and Data centers. He has an extensive background in architecture and the design of server systems, supercomputers and data centers. He has a deep understanding and significant experience in CPU, platform and system architecture, cache and memory sub-systems, and high local area network (LAN) and storage systems. He has a unique background in hardware and software.

Expert has created a number of innovative and pioneering technologies for servers and HPC. He has been awarded 40 U.S. patents (with scores more pending approval).

For the last several years, improvements in the performance of computing and communication have been slowing down. Improvements to silicon technologies, memory speeds and high-speed communication have been limited.

For the last decade, Expert has focused on understanding and reducing barriers to achieve higher performance. He has created a number of technologies that resulted in numerous improvements/changes to Intel processors, network controller, chip-set and the system architecture. He specializes in achieving hardware-software co-design to optimize cost, scalability and expandability.

Expert created vision to Intel's data center group to gain leadership in power-performance, Energy Efficiency, and achieved the goals with successful strategy. He also led people and projects to realize this vision. Using his expertise in workloads, Expert created a number of power-performance benchmarks. One of his benchmarks was adopted by SPEC as SPECpower. He established value proposition for accelerators for data encryption and data compression for adoption in Intel products. His technologies led to several higher frequencies, "customized" CPUs for Intel's top customers.

Expert was called upon to help key customers such as Google, Apple, Microsoft, Facebook, Amazon, Cisco, Huawei, Dell, HP, Ericsson, Verizon, etc. with the complex issues and to gain design wins. Expert was called upon as an expert for data center design by Intel and many top-tier customers. Expert led the industry group to develop the first-ever Energy Star specification for server systems. Expert has been an invited speaker at a number of conferences such as Supercomputing conference, 7x24 Exchange (organization of data center professionals), The Green Grid conference, Server Design Conference, Intel Developer Forum, etc.
Expert pioneered Data Center management.

Expert has been a creator of Intel Node Manager (NM) and Intel Data Center Manager (DCM). These technologies have been licensed by over 100 top tier hardware and software suppliers and have been key contributors to revenue of Intel's data center group. He has developed approaches for resiliency and the integration of renewable energy. He has recently been invited to join work-groups for the sub-cabinet appointed by Governor Inslee of state of Washington for Resilient Washington.

Prior to working at Intel, in 1993, Expert took the challenge to develop a networking solution that is faster than the one from 3Com, cheaper than one offered by number of Taiwanese vendors, and easy to integrate in Windows, Linux, Unix and Novell Netware. His success led to the first-ever LAN on Motherboard design on IBM PC.

Expert has worked as the Principal Engineer for 19 years at Intel's Data Center Group (DCG). He has long experience in architecture, design and HW/SW technologies for components (CPU, Memory, IO, Networking), server systems, racks and data centers. Expert worked with most top data center customers (Google, Facebook, Apple, Amazon, Oracle, Microsoft, Alibaba, etc.) and data customers in various specialized industries such as financial industry, super-computing centers.

Expert was a key member of the team at Intel that defined strategy and road-maps products/ technology for Intel's Data Center Group. Products include silicon (CPU, Memory, Networking), server systems, racks and data centers. As a part of this process, Expert evaluated competition (AMD, ARM vendors, Nvidia, Mellanox, etc.). He worked with large number of customers in variety of market segments such as Cloud Computing, Enterprise, High Performance Computing (HPC), Super computing, Artificial Intelligence (AI)/machine learning. Post Intel, Expert has been engaged as an independent researcher and consultant under his LLC.

Expert has worked with most top data center customers (Google, Facebook, Apple, Amazon, Oracle, Microsoft, Alibaba, etc.) and data center customers in various specialized industries such as financial industry, super-computing centers. As a member of board of directors for The Green Grid, he was developing and driving strategy for IT and Telecom industry focused on efficiency of equipment/systems in the data centers and data centers.

Expert was part of the team that evaluated four solution options for AI (artificial intelligence): CPU, GPU, ASIC and FPGA. We studies applications and workloads, talked to number of customers, studied technical and business aspect. Based upon that defined a strategy for Intel.

Expert was part of the team that defined new memory architecture that uses 3D-Xpoint based Optane memory DIMMs as system memory for server systems. He defined architecture and technology that would be optimal for various workloads and applications for data centers.

He worked on various Ethernet products over 24 years. Expert was part of the team that developed Infiniband. He was also part of the team that defined Omni Path for use in data center workloads. He has expertise in the technologies, products and trends can help the client with technology trends, projects for cost and comparison of key players.
