Expert teaches university courses in engineering design. The courses cover knowledge and tools for transforming an operational need into a well-defined system configuration, through an iterative design process of issue formulation, analysis, optimization, synthesis, system integration, and testing. Term projects demonstrate the principles of systems engineering concepts, tools and techniques through realistic case studies.
Expert has a PhD in Industrial and Systems Engineering. His course of study involved study in all industrial engineering areas: linear and non-linear optimization, human factors, linear systems theory, stochastic processes, probability and statistics, project management. Industrial engineering draws upon the principles and methods of engineering analysis and synthesis, as well as mathematical, physical and social sciences together with the principles and methods of engineering analysis and design to specify, predict and evaluate the results to be obtained from such systems.
Expert has a PhD, and is a current university teacher, in the area of Systems and Industrial Engineering. Industrial engineering draws upon the principles and methods of engineering analysis and synthesis, as well as mathematical, physical and social sciences together with the principles and methods of engineering analysis and design to specify, predict and evaluate the results to be obtained from such systems.
Expert advises graduate students in their pursuit of Masters and PhD degrees in Systems Engineering and Engineering Management.
Expert is advisor to a graduate student division of the International Council on Systems Engineering, as well as to a student group of Engineers Without Borders.
Expert teaches and interfaces with engineers working in the defense and aerospace industries, as part of his university research and teaching duties. Course material includes study of military system synthesis, analysis and failure evaluation.
Expert has published articles in sensitivity analysis, which is the foundation of robust design. Sensitivity analysis determines main effect factors within design and operation spaces.
Expert holds a PhD in Systems and Industrial Engineering. Expert is a core course university teacher in systems engineering, and produces research in systems engineering based on interactions with engineers working in the aerospace and defense industries.
Expert teaches structured analysis as part of his university teaching in Systems Engineering. In particular, Expert teaches issue formulation and structuring of unstructured problems, which then allows the structured analysis of such problems.
Expert teaches university course in system design, where systems need to be initially conceived as solutions to a stated customer need. Expert teaches the stages and methods of system design necessary to deliver an effective balanced product.
Expert has published articles on complex systems engineering necessary for innovative approaches to systems analysis. Expert teaches university course in Systems Engineering and Analysis, both at the undergraduate and graduate level.
