MARKETING RESEARCH: Expert is experienced in modeling marketing data to develop volumetric and share-based models of consumer packaged goods. He used syndicated sales data (IRI, Nielsen) and causal data to develop market share models for forecasting purposes. He has also analyzed market research home-use and consumer research tests. He is familiar with multivariate statistical methodology of market research tests, such as multidimensional scaling, conjoint analysis, and factor analysis.
RESPONSE SURFACE METHODOLOGY: Expert developed response surface models using classical central composite rotatable designs to
"optimize" consumer acceptance of beverages over a range of different physical components of beverages.
SENSORY EVALUATION; PERSONAL CARE PRODUCT SENSORY EVALUATION: Expert is an experience statistician in the design and analysis of sensory evaluation methods. He has consulted with numerous sensory organizations in calibrating expert panel data for reproducibility and measuring product differences. He has analyzed expert panel data (skin feel, hair, taste, smell) to determine statistically superior products. He is familiar with the design and analysis of such sensory tests as the duo-trio test, the triangle and double triangle test, and paired preference tests.
STATISTICAL SURVEY; SURVEY DESIGN PROCESS: Expert has devoted a significant portion of his career designing and analyzing survey
research tests. He is experienced in the use of surveys to measure acceptance of products from a consumer standpoint. He developed models using survey data to predict success of new products in the marketplace.
NEW PRODUCT DESIGN PROCESS; NEW PRODUCT MARKET SURVEY: Expert has spent numerous years working closely with product
development scientists at R & D facilities to develop statistical screening designs for their new products. These screening designs help determine the range and number of ingredients to be used for those products which ultimately are made for new product testing. He developed response surface designs for consumer research testing of these new products in the marketplace.
