It could also be as simple as advising an individual inventor how to commercialize his/her invention with the inventor doing most of the execution or acting as a sounding board for the inventor. They also perform strategic planning or general management consulting tasks depending on the needs of the client.
Expert was a long term independent contractor to the UNOCAL Corporation(>10 years). He handles UNOCAL's third party licensing program in its entirety. Expert's work included marketing, license negotiating, license writing, collecting royalties and enforcing license terms. When Chevron acquired UNOCAL, expert continued as an independent contractor in charge of the UNOCAL portfolio for 10 years for Chevron.He has worked on licensing and product commercialization with several small companies, individual inventors and entreprenreurs. His company will coach, execute or provide both to satisfy the wishes of the client. Expert's company has provided litigation support for several law firms on licensing practices and license value.Company has provided commercialization and licensing seminars at the University of Houston Institute for Enterprise Excellence.Expert, who is a formally trained mediator and arbitrator, has done mediation for the BBB and courts of Houston and arbitration for the State of Texas.
