Request Expert

Expert holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering with a specialization in polymer science, focusing on polymer alloys. His career began in academia, where he quickly advanced to full professor at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana in Mexico City. He co-founded a prominent research institution in Mexico, and spent time as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Texas at Austin before transitioning to industrial research.

Expert's extensive experience spans PVC formulation, processing, and characterization; engineering polymer modification and melt-processing; polymer alloys and compatibilization; polyolefins; and emulsion-based polymers. Recently, he has expanded his expertise to polymeric tissue scaffold technology, contributing innovative ideas and projects to new companies.

At Rohm and Haas Company, now part of Dow Advanced Materials, Expert served as a senior scientist in Plastics Additives, eventually becoming a Research Fellow. His work included developing engineering resins and PVC products, leading multifunctional teams, and contributing to the stage-gate process. He also handled global technical service, conducting trials and supporting technical activities worldwide. Following early retirement from Rohm and Haas, Expert became an industry consultant through H&C Scientific, where he is pursuing three patents with Intellectual Ventures. One of his ideas received special financial support, granted to only about 1% of submitted projects.

He has authored or co-authored over 40 technical papers, several book chapters, and more than 10 patents. He is a frequent presenter at industrial and academic symposia, often as a keynote speaker, and serves as a referee for various technical journals and on the advisory board of one. Expert is known for his strong polymer and materials science background, extensive product development and research experience, and proven leadership skills. He emphasizes a team-based approach, supports global technical service, particularly in Latin America, and mentors both technical and non-technical staff. He is a highly sought-after consultant for his expertise in polymers and plastics.
