Expert has developed a criterion for the prevention of rapid crack propagation in plastic pipes. He developed a formula for calculating slow crack propagation as a function of the stress intensity factor. He developed a method of prediction of ductile-brittle impact transition temperature in polymeric materials from the stress concentration factor. He derived a formula for the shift factor as a function of temperature on the basis of the time-temperature correspondence principle. He developed a procedure for predicting stress relaxation as a function of time for metals and polymers.

Expert developed procedures for making blends of polymer liquid crystals (PLCs) from ordinary engineering polymers (EPs) with mechanical properties and high temperature stability much better than EPs but at prices lower than PLCs.

Expert developed polymeric materials with isobaric expansivity (= thermal expansion coefficient) between 10(-5) K(-1) and 10(-6) K(-1).

Expert developed intelligent processing procedures such that the processing parameters are obtained from experimental P-V-T data with Gnomix apparatus and from determination of phase diagrams by a variety of techniques.

Expert developed procedures for selection of drag reducers with high efficacy for a given liquid. He derived an equation for calculating drag reduction as a function of flow time.

Expert has significant experience in the areas of non-corrosive polymeric and composite coatings.


Expert has been retained three times and deposed twice. He has also testified twice. He prepared an analytical report and made a deposition before a court in New Jersey in a case involving a car collision performing mechanical forces reconstruction based on locations, directions, and speed of the cars, sources, and amounts of mechanical damage.
