Expert has applied his Plastics Engineering background and over 30 years of hands-on experience with molded plastics to assist clients with injection molded plastics throughout the world.
Recognizing the need for knowledgeable personnel in this fast growing field, Expert has worked diligently to develop skills in materials, tooling and processing of liquid silicone rubber. He has worked on many projects from design to material selection, tooling, processing and automation involving LSR.
Expert has worked with numerous medical companies in assisting them with proper procedures for medical polymer molding as well as trouble shooting complex processing issues.
Proper Material selection is a large part of Expert's consulting work. He has conducted many classes and seminars concerning material selection and data sheet interpretation. He has worked with many medical companies in assisting them with material selection.
Expert has worked with many companies in helping them develop new plastic products using concurrent engineering principles. He has developed "12 Steps to Six Sigma - a systematic approach to successful product design" which includes rapid prototyping, FEA, flow simulation analysis, design reviews and more.
Consulting project for a leading bionic and pain management technology firm to develop specialized Injection molding process for proprietary over-molded urethane parts.
Consulting project for a medical company involving research and development of a micro molded part. Assist in procuring tooling and prototype parts and also evaluate processing techniques.
Consulting service to a Fortune 500 office products company to assist with tooling procurement specifications, product improvement, and evaluation of molding shops in Mexico.Consulting service to a medium size Injection Molder to evaluate, recommend, procure and implement ERP/MRP system suitable for manufacturing operation. Provided training as needed.
Consulting service to a major irrigation company concerning PVC molding problems. The project entailed studying, analyzing, and recommending tooling and process changes to reduce nonconformance. Recommend And Qualify alternate material. Assist with development of PVC hot runner tooling. Assist with DOE and correlation study to establish settings for optimum process and establish process control “P” dimension.
