Expert has 38 years of continually progressive experience in the engineering field. He has worked in the nuclear fuel processing industry, semi-conductor industry, power generation industry, and environmental technology industry. He has a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree in Engineering Science from the Montana College of Mineral Science and Technology and is a registered professional engineer in MT, ID, WA, FL AL, WY, and TX and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). He has traveled extensively and has hands-on experience in project and business development in Taiwan, Korea, Japan, Poland, and Greece. Expert currently works for a design and manufacturing company. He served as chairman of that committee from March 2010 to December 2011. He has served as president of the Butte Chapter of the Montana Society of Engineers; president of the Montana Society of Engineers; Montana delegate to the National Society of Professional Engineers; board member for the Montana Chamber of Commerce; advisory board member of the Montana World Trade Center; and as a Montana Ambassador. He is an alumnus of Leadership Montana, and has received several awards, including the Montana Tech Alumni Recognition Award; the Southwest Montana area Engineer of the Year Award; and -- on behalf of the company -- the Montana Governor’s Award for Excellence in Export Marketing.
Expert currently holds a “secret clearance” and has previously held both “Q” and “Top Secret” clearances. He has managed “classified” facilities, as well as ITAR programs.
Expert has extensive experience in Business Development, both foreign and domestic, as well as international trade. He has traveled extensively to 35 countries around the world and has been involved with international trade since his appointment by the Secretary of Commerce and International Trade Representative in 2002.
