Expert has been designing and using Inertial Measurement Units (IMU) for the last two decades. This includes unmanned air vehicle, near space applications, and automotive applications. These IMUs use a combination of accelerometers, rate gyroscopes, magnetometers and a GPS system. Expert is thoroughly familiar with the applications of these devices, not only for IMUs but also for other fields such as Magnetic Resonance Imaging machines and electronic compasses.
Expert has been involved as an expert in patent litigation for the last several years. This includes invalidity, infringement, the writing of expert reports, and testifying. He has worked on tests of obviousness, incorporating the KSR opinion. He also has experience with the International Trade Commission, including testifying at ITC depositions. Expert also has experience testifying before a jury in a product liability case, where our side obtained a multimillion dollar award from a major automobile manufacturer.
