Expert has many years practical university research experience in both petroleum and sediment-related organic geochemical projects resulting in a wide range of publications. He has authored a number of proprietory oil industry reports, specifically biomarker studies in the North Sea province. Geographically his research experience spans the Arctic to West Africa and the Far East to New Zealand.
Specific topics of expertise include:
1. Angiosperm and other floral markers of sedimentary input
2. Molecular maturity parameters
3. Anaerobic oxidation of methane (AOM) markers and concretion geochemistry
4. Basin modelling of maturity and prediction of oil and gas kitchens
He is an experienced tutor, having run Masters courses in Aberdeen, the West Indies and the Far East and is able to deliver these at around 3 months notice.
