Years: 2015 to Present | Employer: Undisclosed | Title: Lead Image Analyst Engineer | Department: |
Responsibilities:Performed re-tasking simulation of weather satellite for feasibility of detecting of IR sources on Earth using DIRSIG. Used 3D modeling tools (e.g., Blender) and Aerothermal data on ICBM plumes to construct a scene with a launching ICBM. Then analyzed the ability of an EO-IR sensor to detect the plume from LEO using the weather satellite’s sensor system. Demonstrated use of spectral reflectance for semi-quantitative remote sensing using inexpensive RGB sensors. Presently developing algorithms for Geospatial Science's Group for Booz Allen Hamilton. Algorithms include image processing, Image segmentation, feature detection, feature extraction. Successfully implemented several feature extraction tools to imagery including Scale Invariant Feature Transform (SIFT), K-means, and optimized image processing for support vector machine (SVM) learning using Histogram Oriented Gradients feature extraction. Use of principal components analysis (PCA) and regression statistics for segmentation metrics. Successfully trained support vector machine (SVM) using Histogram Oriented Gradient of vehicles to recognize differences between sedan, truck and SUV. Developed user friendly GUI for Matlab Image Processing. Image processing tools include OpenCV, Python 2.7.9 and 3.4 with Qt4, GDAL, and Visual Studio and Linux C++ feature extraction. |
