Expert recieved his MD at the University of Michigan Medical School and trained in Obstetrics and Gynecology with a specialty in Maternal-Fetal Medicine in New York. He has been working in the field as an instructor and a medical doctor for twenty years at various hospitals and institutions in New York. He is recognized for his contribution in the field of obstetrics and Gynecology and is a member and fellow of numerous local, regional and national Obstetrics and Gynecology socieites. He is also an editorial reviewer for several journals in his field of expertise.
His major research interests include investigating the Doppler blood flow analysis of the fetus, Prenatal diagnosis, and Cytokines in obstetrics. His current research projects include Smoking and Preeclampsia: The potential role of the cholinergic anti-inflammatory pathway and the effect of magnesium sulfate on human vascular endothelial cells and inhibition of cytokine production.
He has been invited to speak and present at countless conferences on various topics within his field of expertise including First Trimester Screening for Chromosomal Disorders, Cardiopulmonary Complications and Critical Care for the Pregnant Patient, Perinatal Nursing, First Trimester Down Syndrome Screening & Diagnosis, Preventing Preterm Birth, Perspectives in Perinatal & Neonatal Medicine, Medical Complications of Pregnancy, Perinatal Infection, Counseling & Screening Issues for the Childbearing, Diabetes in Pregnancy and Childhood, and the Impact of Pregnancy and Infant Loss on Families & Relationships.
He has also mentored for numerous resident research projects in the past twenty years and a collaborator for several grants such as the Biomedical Research Starter Grant and the Translational Resaerch Award.
As a gynecologist and professor of gynecology and obstetrics, Expert's expertise in the field extends into the medical education and curriculum aspect of gynecology and obstetrics, providing, running and evaluating public and community program services such as the March of Dimes organization, understanding insights in the pharmaceutical and therapeutic aspect, evaluating clinical medicine and research, assessing ambulatory care, evaluating obstetrics and gynecology tissue and joint practice, quality assurance, ensuring ante partum testing, evaluating quality improvement for Cesarean section procedure and assessing physician performance, and evaluating perinatal ethics.
