Expert has been working in the automotive Li-ion battery space for the last 15 years. He worked with FCA from 2007 until retirement in March 2017. While at FCA, he was responsible for R&D requirements and source package development for xEV batteries, high voltage systems and high voltage wiring. He's also worked for Samsung SDI America (SDIABS) as the Director of Engineering and Director of Quality. At SDIABS, he worked on battery pack development and production for 48V batteries, motorcycle EV batteries and automotive PHEV batteries. Expert has also been active on the Management Committee of the US Advanced Battery Consortium while at FCA. At the USABC, he managed energy storage R&D for the US Department of Energy with $25M of funding annually. Expert has a good understanding of the xEV industry and is looking to stay engaged since the most exciting part of the vehicle segments is just getting started.

Exert has senior-level Engineering and Quality experience with responsibility for advanced energy storage systems, battery pack system design, development and validation. He is experienced with powertrain controllers, powertrain systems integration, vehicle E/E architecture and bus networking, 12 Volt powernet systems and components (alternator, starter and battery), high voltage systems, wiring and distribution.
