Expert has extensive experience in the synthesis and characterization of thin films prepared by plasma polymerization, and diamond and diamond-like thin films also prepared by a low pressure plasma process. He has used low-temperature plasmas or glow discharges to etch polymer films. Expert developed scratch and oxidation resistant coatings for plastics, and antireflection coatings for plastics and solar cells. He has also created coatings to protect infrared salt crystal windows from moisture and biofilm resistant coatings.
Expert is knowledgeable of ESCA (XPS- X-Ray photoelectron), wafer cleaning and decontamination, and plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD).
