Expert is a pioneering ophthalmologist, entrepreneur, and educator with a distinguished career in laser vision correction and corneal transplantation. As the founder and Medical/Surgical Director, Expert has built the premier center for No-Cut, No-Flap, All-Laser LASEK procedures in New York City, earning accolades such as CBS News’ #1 rating for this advanced refractive surgery technique. He has performed thousands of successful surgeries and contributed extensively to the training of ophthalmology residents at leading institutions, including Harvard Medical School, the New York Eye & Ear Infirmary, and St. Vincent’s Hospital, where he co-founded their Refractive Surgery Program.

Expert’s academic background is exceptional, holding an MD from Columbia University and an MBA in Management and Entrepreneurship from New York University, where he won a business plan competition. He completed his residency at Harvard/Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and a fellowship in Corneal Transplantation and Refractive Surgery at Emory University under internationally renowned surgeons.

A prolific researcher and inventor, Expert has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, presented globally on advanced surface ablation techniques, and holds patents in ophthalmic compositions. His commitment to advancing the field is reflected in his peer-review roles for top ophthalmology journals and service on advisory boards. Additionally, he has made significant contributions as a consultant in biotechnology, healthcare, and medical malpractice cases.

Expert’s achievements extend beyond medicine; he is an accomplished writer, photographer, and adventurer who has trekked to Mount Kilimanjaro and Everest Base Camp. A third-generation ophthalmologist with a family legacy of medical service, he was among the first trauma surgeons at Ground Zero on 9/11, where he set up the first triage center, embodying a lifelong dedication to public service and innovation.
