Over the past 20 years Expert has designed, developed and used several decision support systems for engineering and business applications. His strong analytical background combined with extensive experience in information management and artificial intelligence has provided him a strong foundation for creating innovative decision support systems. He has used a number of commercial decision support systems from Oracle, Business Objects, Cognos, and Autodesk.
Since receiving His PhD degree in information management from Employer in 1992, Expert has been involved in numerous projects to create distributed, collaborative information management systems. These projects range from computer-aided engineering systems at Exxon and Autodesk to enterprise software applications at Informatica and real-time data tracking for Yahoo's on-line advertising system. He has also taught a number of courses at University of California Berkeley on Information Modeling and Database Management. He has used various products from IBM, Microsoft, Oracle and Informatica for information management.
Expert created and led the product management team responsible for the entire infrastructure for handling all graphical advertisements on Yahoo! and its partner web sites. His areas of expertise include ad serving, user targeting, inventory predictions, yield management, optimization, tracking/logging and reporting. He has filed for five Yahoo! patents related to Internet advertising architecture, behavioral targeting and "smart" advertisements. Expert is currently the VP of advertising technologies at Glam Media leading the creation of their next generation platforms for brand advertisements. He has also done extensive consulting for Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM) using products from Google and Yahoo!.
Throughout his 20+ years of professional experience Expert has mentored numerous of his direct reports and colleagues. He has also mentored and coached over 200 undergraduate and graduate students throughout his academic and teaching experiences at Cornell, Carnegie Mellon and UC Berkeley. He is also a volunteer in the American Computing Machinery (ACM) mentoring program targeted for students and professional who like to improve their career.
