INTERNATIONAL LICENSING; INTERNATIONAL MARKETING. Expert's background in international negotiations licensing, marketing, and technology transfer comes from his 10 years as an employee of two Fortune 500 Corporations, and from eight additional years assisting companies of all sizes in that area. His particular expertise is in foreign technology transfer and licensing both in acquiring technologies from abroad and in licensing technologies to foreign jurisdictions. He also has considerable expertise in tailoring technology transfer and licensing to fit into broader international business transactions.

INTERNATIONAL TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER. Expert is the author of various articles on technology transfer in Latin America and Russia. He has had considerable transactional expertise in foreign sourcing of technology, working with government regulations and agencies, and determining the revenue sources that are most appropriate for his employers and clients. He has 14 years of experience in the computer products and services industry.

INTERNATIONAL MANUFACTURING. Expert's experience in international manufacturing covers the gamut from finishing products in Mexican maquiladores to sourcing components and products abroad to establishing joint ventures and wholly-owned assembly/manufacturing operations outside the United States.

NORTH AMERICAN FREE TRADE AGREEMENT (NAFTA); FREE TRADE FOR THE AMERICAS AGREEMENT (FTAA). Over the past few years, Expert has written and spoken frequently on issues associated with NAFTA and FTAA. He is familiar with the developing rules of origin, product certifications, and duty reductions. Additionally, he has conducted considerable research on the future expansion of NAFTA including the use of Mexico as an export base for the Americas.

MARKETING CHANNEL AGREEMENTS. Expert is experienced with the development, negotiations, and implementation of VAR, OEM, and distribution and sales agent agreements for consumer products, electrical components and machinery, computer hardware and peripherals, software and courseware. He teaches the course "Finding and Using International Sales Representatives and Distributors" at the University of St. Thomas. He has also dealt extensively with termination issues.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AGREEMENTS. Expert developed, negotiated, standardized, and implemented virtually all types of computer or computer-related agreements. His work in this area includes hardware and software sales agreements, licensing agreements and maintenance contracts.
