His clinical trials include studying and evaluating the initiation of fixed doses of novel erythropoiesis stimulating protein, evaluating subcutaneous administration of Aranesp (darbopoetin alfa) in subjects with anemia of chronic renal insufficiency, evaluating the survival benefits of Zemplar relative to Calcijex in subjects with stage V chronic kidney disease on hemodialysis, evaluating the effects of Eplerenone vs. Eplerenone/Lisinopril in patients with renal insufficiency, evaluating the effects of Darusentan on safety and efficacy in subjects with resistant systolic hypertension receiving combination therapy with 3 or more antihypertensive drugs, including a diuretic, evaluating the efficacy of vaccines in adults on hemodialysis, etc. His numerous clinical studies continues on the topic of drugs efficacy and evaluation on patients with hypertention and hemodialysis.
He is also a very active member of the Institutional Review Board that focuses on reviewing, approving and monitoring biomedical and behavior clinical studies and research that involve human and animal subjects to prevent and reduce any possible health and health-related risks that subjects may encounter in the proposed reseach studies.
