As a Global Sourcing head, Expert has initiated China & Thailand Sourcing Strategy for the organization which resulted in direct and indirect savings in raw material cost. Direct saving was on account of purchase of key commodities and parts from China and Thailand suppliers, while indirect saving on account of pricing correction of Indian suppliers due to competition from Chinese/ Thai Supplier base.
Due to his expertise on Free Trade Agreements, the strategic purchasing from FTA countries had also resulted into significant savings. The global sourcing strategy deployed by Expert encompasses time horizon of 3-5 years, which takes into account speculation on exchange rates, government policies, FTA phases, changes in customs duties etc.
Global sourcing program deployed by Expert was the result of a detailed critical study, SWOT analysis of Indian supplier base and SWOT of Chinese/Thai suppliers.
Due to his expertise is various manufacturing processes in meachanical engineering and costing thereof coupled with exposure to raw material pricing behaviour, ExpertPawar has adequate experience in estimating the costs of the manufactured parts. The well-practiced approach of why-why analysis to penetrate the costing details helped him bring out the optimal costing estimate of the manufactured parts.This has helped him retain the costs of RM and parts to the optimal levels year after year.
