Expert has 25 years of experience in general pediatrics treating patients from birth to 18 years old in office and hospital settings. She also is medical director of the Travis County Child Assessment Program which evaluates children for physical, sexual and emotional abuse as well as physical and medical neglect.
Upon receiving her M.D. degree from Texas A & M University College of Medicine in 1981, she completed both her internship and residency in pediatrics at the Children’s Medical Center from 1981 to 1984.
Her expertise in pediatrics includes vaccination and immunology (chicken pox vaccines, hepatitis-B vaccine, and DTP vaccines). She has done extensive clinical research on the tolerability and the safety of the various vaccines.
She has also done extensive clinical research on infectious diseases and nutrition, particularly on the tolerability of various formula in infants.
