I have trained and practiced as a forensic archaeologist from 2002-2010 in the United Kingdom and from 2010-present in the USA. My master's research enabled me to develop a protocol for enhancing fingerprints left in blood on textiles and my PhD research was in traditional archaeology, in the field of ancient fingerprints. I have worked on a number of cases involving homicide, mass casualties, post blast recovery, and missing persons. I have extensive excavation and recovery experience. I have also assisted legal professionals in deciphering and questioning expert witness statements. I also conduct field exercises for law enforcement as well as teach university courses, write grants, and conduct research.

I was contacted by a solicitor's firm in the UK to read and comment on an experts report. I was asked to attend the trail and consult with the barrister to provide questions for cross-examination. My involvement lead to the expert being cross-examined for four days.I was consulted by a city crime scene unit as to types of alternative types of evidence that could be utilized. I instructed them in the use of soil, pollen, and entomological evidence which they have since started using routinely and to great success. I have been contacted with requests fise and have leveraged my extensive network of international contacts to match the need with the right expert.I have provided forensic consultation for television producers and crime writers.I am regularly contacted by schools, museums, and other educational organizations to consult on the development of forensic activities for the public.
