Engineering Analysis, Product Development, Mechanical Design, Kinematics and Dynamics
ID: 726956
Massachusetts, USA
In his industry career, Expert has worked first at a start-up developing a novel power transmission technology, and later at two of the world's leading consumer electronics firms. He has first-person knowledge of technology development and product development. He has managed numerous projects involving rapid prototyping, industrial and user interface design, and design for high volume manufacturing. He also has extensive hands-on experience in mechanical product design, including 3D CAD, 3D Printing and Finite Elements. He has extensive experience collaborating with, and sourcing from, the Far East.
Expert worked at the front lines of new product concept generation at one of the world's most respected consumer audio equipment companies for nearly 10 years, and is currently working at the world's number one designer and manufacturer of commercial sound masking systems. These systems are typically installed in office space ceilings and provide speech privacy and paging/music playback options.
Advised client on design parameter space for alternative automotive transmission and designed a series of representative assemblies for physical testing. Also managed development program on behalf of client, overseeing the work of other consultants.
Wrote patent applications in compressed time frame dictated by impending disclosures. In addition, researched and reported on current state of technology, and authored technical white papers in support of client’s application for federal funding, with focus on energy efficiency. Client was awarded highly competitive DOE grant as a result.
